As we step into the Aquarian Age , we need to take more responsibility for our part in Healing ‘Mother Earth’.
The reality is our atmosphere is polluted & our minds are polluted like never before. You may think of that as a harsh statement, but it’s the truth. The good news is we can assist in healing ‘Mother Earth’ and ourselves & stop the feeling of helplessness.
Agnihotra is a simple process of a small fire in an inverted copper Pyramid practised at ‘sunrise & sunset’.

Agnihotra purifies the atmosphere, re-energizes your home (fabulous for clearing negative energies!) This humble fire is so potent that its purifying energies reach a staggering 1klm radius. I have seen the positive effects on nature first hand of what regular Agnihotra can achieve.
Some people, who have experienced Agnihotra, may have had the experience on farms or properties and quite possibly given up on the idea of practising for themselves in an urban environment, I would like to enlighten you! It’s Possible! Being an urban dweller myself & realizing the potency of this Holy Fire and the benefits that would be received as a whole, I started to practise. If you have no veranda or court yard, find you’re nearest garden (maybe a neighbour’s garden or shed) or garage/shelter, beach/park and practise!
The ash from am/pm Agnihotra is a Healing bonus, you can use it in your jugs of water (just a pinch) to purify & charge. Mix the ash with ghee & make an ointment for wounds, also great for animal wounds (powder & strain your ash first. Learn how to in an Agnihotra lightshop.) Urban Growing
Grow your herbs & have a mini veggie garden on your veranda/court yard, all you need is some pots, good organic soil & mix in your ash(make sure you sprinkle your seedling roots with ash before planting) I found lattice in pots great if you grow beans/peas! If possible do your fires close by. Herbs love to be all together, so you do not need a lot of room. Try cherry tomatoes & cumquats, beetroot is great in pots too.
Gather a group of people in your area who are willing to take turns in Veggie Patch maintenance, approach your council/owners of flats or units & start a Communal Agnihotra veggie patch in a park or in the grounds you live in. Grow food with Prana (life force) no chemicals & you will have organic food. It will be so rewarding to have a ‘Urban Agnihotra Garden’! When you are preparing your garden be sure to dig your ash in the earth, sprinkle the ash on your plants regularly & help cut down pests.
